Verify Insurance
Verify Insurance
Before you start treatment, it helps to know what your insurance will pay for. Fill out the short form below and our admissions team will run a free, confidential benefits check, usually the same day. There's no cost and no obligation to enroll.
What We Check
- Whether we're in network with your plan
- Coverage for our partial hospitalization program, intensive outpatient program and virtual care
- Your deductible, copay or coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximum
- Whether your plan needs prior authorization, and how many days it typically approves at a time
What to Have Ready
Your insurance card is usually all you need: the insurance company's name, your member ID and the policyholder's name and date of birth. If the policy is through a parent or spouse, have their details handy too.
Your Privacy
We use your information only to check your benefits and contact you about treatment. Health information is protected under HIPAA and California privacy law, and we never share it without your consent. Checking your benefits doesn't notify your employer.
Every plan is different, so your coverage depends on your specific policy. If insurance doesn't cover the full cost, or you'd rather not use it, contact our admissions team directly to ask about self-pay rates and payment options. Prefer to talk it through? Call 805-905-5483 any time.

Insurance Plans We Work With
Ventura Wellness Behavioral Health is in network with many major insurance carriers, including Aetna, Cigna, Blue Shield of California, Blue Cross of California, Kaiser, Tricare, TriWest, UnitedHealthcare and Optum, Magellan, Carelon, ComPsych and UMR. Don't see your plan? Send your details anyway, and we'll check what your plan covers, including any out-of-network benefits.
Does insurance cover outpatient mental health treatment?
Most commercial plans cover outpatient mental health and substance use treatment, including PHP and IOP, because federal parity law requires coverage comparable to medical care. What you pay depends on your plan's deductible, copays and authorization rules. A free benefits check gives you the specific numbers.
What if I don't have insurance?
You can still get care. Contact us directly to ask about self-pay rates and payment options, or start with our admissions team to find the right program. If we're not the right fit, we'll help you find one in Ventura County that is.
